Founded in 1985 Nature Tours of Yukon is a well established name in the Yukon. We are a long time member of the Wilderness Tourism Association of the Yukon (WTAY), Tourism Industry Association of the Yukon (TIA Yukon) and Klondike Visitors Association (KVA).
We believe strongly in the principles of -No Trace- traveling. Take nothing but photos, leave nothing but footprints. We take great pride in our team of highly skilled, professional, licensed guides and drivers. They will always go the extra mile to provide you, our guest, with a safe, enjoyable and unforgettable experience.

Nature Tours of Yukon is the Yukon specialists for organizing tailor made tours and events. From family vacations to corporate teambuilding programs; from daytrips to mountaineering expeditions; the possibilities are only limited by your imagination. To name just a few of our past and current clients: Canadian Forces London (On), Sony-Ericsson Eastern Europe, the Science Museum in Buffalo - New York, Boy Scouts Ontario, Trinity School and Dulwich College in England.

pic-ed.jpgJoost van der Putten is the owner and general manager of Nature Tours of Yukon. He is Dutch and after a career in Mechanical Engineering with worldwide experience in Sales, Project Management and Management in general, he moved his career  in an entirely different direction. He and his wife Conny fell in love with nature and wilderness of Yukon Territory 20 years ago. All these years they organised their own canoe and backpack trips and became very familiar with the Yukon. Joost loves to plan and organize and likes to take our service to a level above and beyond the ordinary. He also uses his organizing skills with the Yukon Quest. Previous years helping as a volunteer with the preparations and start in Whitehorse and as driver and checkpoint crew member in Pelly Crossing and Dawson City. This year Joost is the manager of the Yukon Quest Finish Line in Whitehorse.

Joost's friendly advice and expertise will ensure the high quality standards our guests have become accustomed to.
